Hundreds of Marunda Low Cost Apartment Sealed

Dozens of joint personnel from Satpol PP, Army, Police and Jakarta Dept. of Housing and Government's Building came to Marunda Flat, Cilincing, North Jakarta to seal and lock flat unit. As much as 107 units out of 1,000 units from 10 blocks were sealed due to inappropriate with contract agreement, while the other 33 units were locked because of unoccupied .

One of the sealed unit is 5.01 block 5 Cluster B, which occupied by Wanti (33). The personnel must seal the unit since the name in the agreement is different with the occupant. The unit owner should be Dwi Apriansyah (22), but in a year the unit is occupied by Wanti and her husband Tarmono (49).

"This unit's owner is my step daughter. She requested me to occupy," she said.

Head of Low-Cost Apartment Management Area 1, Maharyadi, stated those sealed and locked units owners have three days to handle the matter. Later on, further checking will be applied.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Dept. of Housing and Government's Building, Jonathan Pasodung, explained the raid to be applied monthly. It is hoped the misappropriate use of the flat could be minimized.

"It's our moment to act strictly. If the owners are proven selling or leasing to others, they could be jailed," he explained.

There will be further checking about this matter. His side will assist unit's owner to get agreement contract if they have difficulty on it.

"Virtual account for Cluster B Marunda is being processed using photos. 834 units out of 1,000 units are ready," he uttered.
